JAIN STUDENTS FOUNDATION

JSF is an organization for achieving students development, wellbeing of the community, practice of compassion and spread of companionship. JSF invites all fellow Jain student pals to become a united force as contributor, collaborator and coworker for its mentioned objectives, in addition to enable them to get spiritual enlightenment, irrespective of the sub-caste/sectarian variations. JSF desires to establish a system to plan, strategize and open avenues to solve various issues.

JSF aka Jain Student Foundation is an organization of students.

Not only non-Jain population but also Jains themselves have misunderstood Jainism as a religion which ceases a person to eat what he likes. (for eg. Onion , garlic is not to be consumed). But there is much more to understand and there are many things in Jainism which a person needs to know. Jainism in not confined to food. Moreover, it is more of philosophy than religion. Jainism appreciated service and charity and Lord Mahavir had clearly stated that a shravak( family man) is suppose to contribute an amount out of his income for service activities. In spite of being one of the most educated community(94% according to the latest census reports), Jains lack education about their own religion. This is because there are divided into small sects and hence they are unable to make collective efforts to understand the real Jain philosophy of charity and philanthropy.

Jain Student Foundation aims to unite all Jain students to unite them (be any sub-caste) and channelise their energy to carry out charity work. Jainism(750.B.C) was the first religion in India to oppose cast system and encourage equality. Student foundation plans to educate mass through its activities and educate them about equality. JSF also plans to carry out extra-curricular activities like exhibition, sports and seminar and workshops. This is because JSF feel that our standard education system does not highlight these activities much.
